On the 28th of March 1986, one of the most controversial and most talked about singer, songwriter and philanthropist, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is born, most commonly known as Lady Gaga.

She is born in Yonkers in New York, USA.

Lady Gaga comes from an Italian background, born as the older of two daughters, to Joseph and Cynthia Germanotta.

She has a younger sister, Natali, who is six years her junior.
